From Humble Beginnings to Dressage Excellence: The Oreo Success Story

Oreo came to Miramonte Equine in 2018 as a very green 3.5 year old.  After four months of training in our program, she earned a 70% at 1st level at her first recognized show.

Elaine Cole, who loves and owns Oreo says that “Training by Emily and her assistants resulted in dynamic progress up the dressage levels” including many placings and titles at USDF Regionals and Finals.

In 2022, Oreo and assistant trainer Mary Claire Piller were on the gold medal winning NAYC dressage team, demonstrating the mare’s amazing talent at a CDI level. Also, in 2022, Mary rode Oreo to the USDF National YR Intermediare-1 championship.

In 2024, at her first ever competition move up to I-2, Oreo qualified for Regionals and earned scores into the mid 60’s. Oreo’s Grand Prix debut is highly anticipated!

Elaine has supported every move of Oreo’s amazing career and loves to reflect on the idea of “Dressage success for a crossbred US born mare developed by Miramonte Equine!”

This is an awesome story of one of several horses Miramonte Equine has started as 3 year olds and developed to the top of the sport.
