Quality dressage horses, lessons and training in the central Kentucky area

  • Safe and reliable

  • Sweet

  • Tons of show miles

  • Point and shoot jumper

Proudly offering for your consideration: Harvest Moon, aka Miko. Miko is a kind soul who has been lots of show miles and is ready to find a perfect fit and get back in the show ring. He is super sweet and safe, does well traveling, is great in new places and is a trail riding pro. Miko has been ridden and loved by kids, adult amateurs and professionals. He really steps up (or down) to the occasion and is the total "take-care-of-my-rider" type.

Miko is schooling 1st and 2nd level dressage and is straightforward to ride. He is responsive to aids and reliable in the contact. Miko goes forward without rushing or being tense: the ideal point and shoot ride. He is currently in full dressage training and is progressing well.

Miko will jump anything you ask him to, no questions asked.  He has jumped a large variety of technical fences and combinations, including prelim tables, corners, ditches, 3 foot down banks, water, water combination jumps, etc. He has scope and technical skills to get his rider out of sticky situations, and is very adjustable up to the base of a jump. Once he sees a jump, you can feel him lock on to it, and has great rhythm (never rushes a fence). Miko is a great confidence boosting ride. His gallop is a dream - the perfect amount of energy and very sensitive to your gallop position. If the rider sits back, he will come back to a collected canter, if the rider leans forward and gives him a squeeze and a few more inches of rein, he will start to gallop out. His petite AA rider never worried about feeling out of control on cross country. His cross country ability and safety is super desireable because he is experienced, safe, and so much fun.

This sweet boy is searching for the perfect fit and we will be very selective about where he goes.
